TAMPA, FEB. 27, 2020 – For the first fifth straight season, the American Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama. The 2020 conference meet is set for Feb. 28-29 and will air on the American Digital Network.
"We just want to compete," USF head coach Erik Jenkins said. "When you start a championship, everybody starts at the same place, so it's up to us to go out and execute our training to give us an opportunity to beat people. I think our student-athletes are excited about the opportunity, and I think our staff has done a good job preparing them for this meet."
Senior runner Yohance Haynes (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) highlights a strong group that is expected to compete this weekend. Haynes ranks fourth in The American in the 800 meters with a top time of 1:52.49 and will race in the trials on Friday at 3:45 p.m.
