USF Volleyball falls to SMU

The Bulls dropped the match against the Mustangs on Sunday afternoon.

Tampa, Fla. (November 6, 2022) – The University of South Florida Bulls (9-15, 3-9 AAC) wrapped up their weekend slate with a loss to SMU (18-8,11-3 AAC) on Sunday afternoon at the Yuengling Center.

SMU took the match against South Florida by set scores of 25-21, 26-24, 25-22.

Makayla Washington (Tallahassee, Fla.) paced the Bulls with 12 kills on a new career high .500 hitting percentage. Marta Cvitkovic (Rijeka, Croatia) contributed with another 11 kills.

Freshman Yasmin Shaw (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) led the Bulls with six total blocks, followed by Amanda DeWitt (Jupiter, Fla.) and Cvitkovic who contributed with four and three blocks, respectively.

Madison Bragan (Tampa, Fla.) and Kelsey O'Loughlin (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) claimed one service ace each.

Tatiana Johnson (Frederick, Md.) posted 15 assists throughout the match while O'Loughlin added 12 assists.

CC Clausen (The Woodlands, Texas) led the Bulls' back row with 12 digs, followed by Maria Clara Andrade (São Paulo, Brazil) with nine digs.
