TAMPA (December 1, 2022) – The University of South Florida Bulls conclude a three-game homestand on Friday against the Charleston Southern Buccaneers. It will be the Bulls' final home game until Friday, December 16.
South Florida and Charleston Southern will meet for the first time on Friday.
The Bulls have won two of their last three games while the Buccaneers have dropped two of their last three.
USF's two-game winning streak was snapped on Tuesday with a 73-67 setback to UMass. Four Bulls scored in double figures for the third time this season on Tuesday, led by Tyler Harris' 15 points. Harris is shooting 41.5 percent (17-41) from downtown over his last five outings and leads USF in scoring this season (14.8 ppg).
Named to the AAC Honor Roll earlier this week, Selton Miguel has scored 11.4 ppg. His 32 assists lead the team and rank fifth in the AAC. Russel Tchewa is shooting 75 percent (12-16) from the field over his last two games. The center is in the top five of the AAC in shooting percentage this season (61.2%) and his 52 total rebounds rank sixth in the league.
The Bulls welcomed back Keyshawn Bryant and Jamir Chaplin to the lineup on Tuesday after the two had missed time recently with injuries.
Following Friday's game, the Bulls will be off for a week before traveling to Northern Iowa on Monday, December 12.

About USF Men's Basketball
The USF men's basketball team is led by head coach Brian Gregory, who enters his sixth season in 2022-23. Gregory was introduced as the 10th head coach in program history in March of 2017 after previously leading programs at Georgia Tech (2011-16) and Dayton (2003-11). Gregory spent nearly a decade as an assistant coach under Michigan State's Hall of Fame head coach Tom Izzo and helped the Spartans win the 2000 NCAA National Championship. Gregory owns over 300 career head coaching wins and six postseason appearances, including the 2010 NIT Championship with Dayton. In his second season at the helm of the Bulls, Gregory led the team to the best win turnaround in the NCAA, the most single-season wins in school history and the 2019 College Basketball Invitational championship.Â
Â
USF has retired three numbers in its history: Chucky Atkins (12), Charlie Bradley (30) and Radenko Dobras (31). The Bulls have earned three NCAA tournament bids, appeared in the NIT eight times and won the 2019 College Basketball Invitational.
