TAMPA (December 11, 2023) - The University of South Florida head women's tennis coach, Christina Moros, has announced the 2023 spring slate.
The spring season will consist of 10 home matches at the Varsity Tennis Courts and 18 matches on the road.
"Our schedule this spring gives us some great opportunities to play some of the toughest teams in the conference along with some looks against some of the best teams college tennis has to offer," said Moros. "Half of our roster is new this year and this a close group that is really looking forward to competing as a team and avenging some very close losses from last year. This is a schedule that can award us a trip to the post-season which is one of our goals every season."
The Bulls begin the spring with two straight home matches, facing Florida A&M on Jan. 21 and Florida on Jan. 22. That will be followed by a five-game road trip beginning Feb. 11 at FAU and ending Feb. 23 at Stetson.
USF will return home to close out February against Northwestern before kicking off March with two more matches at the Varsity Tennis Courts vs Louisiana Tech and Toledo.
The Bulls will then head on the road to face VCU and UNF before returning back home for some key matchups, including ones against conference rivals Cincinnati and Wichita State.
In April, four of the Bulls five matchups will be against AAC opponents. They'll open the month with a trip to Texas to take on Rice before going up against Houston on Apr. 3. USF will then head back to Tampa to take on Tulane before preparing for the War on I-4 in Orlando on Apr. 13.
South Florida will wrap up their spring season at the Varsity Tennis Courts against Memphis on Apr. 15.
The American Athletic Conference Championships will take place Apr. 19-22 in Lake Nona, Fla.
