Tampa, Fla. Nov. 12, 2023 – The University of South Florida women's basketball (2-0) welcomes Grambling State (1-1) to the Yuengling Center for a clash on Monday, Nov. 13. Tipoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. and the game will stream live on ESPN+.

SETTING THE STAGE
USF is looking for its third straight win of the season, while the Grambling State Tigers enter the contest with an even 1-1 record.

THE SOUTH FLORIDA-GRAMBLING SERIES
South Florida and Grambling have only met twice previously in 2008 and 2018 and the Bulls have captured both previous parings. The first clash resulted in a 126-62 Bulls victory on Dec. 18, 2008, and the most recent meeting was a USF 67-50 win on Dec. 15, 2018.

LAST TIME OUT
The Bulls bested Stetson, 67-55 on Friday (Nov. 10) in the Yungling Center. Sophomore wing Brito (20 pts, 11 reb) logged her first double-double of the season (3rd career) in the win. Senior guard
Maria Alvarez added a season-high 18 points, which is the most points she has scored in a game since March 2022 (14 pts, Houston).

BULL LEADERS
USF has three players averaging double-digit points through the first two games, led by Brito (15.0 ppg.), Alvarez follows with an average of 12.5 points per contest, and freshman guard
Vittoria Blasigh (10.5 ppg.) round out the Bulls. Senior guard
Aerial Wilson (7.0 apg.) is ranked 13th nationally in assist average.

Sammie Puisis is one of 20 players named to the 2024 Ann Meyers-Drysdale Award watch list, which is annually presented to the top shooting guard in Division I women's college basketball. Bulls fans are encouraged to participate in Fan Voting for each of the three rounds. The list will be narrowed to 10, and then in late February to just five. In March, the five finalists will be presented to Myers-Drysdale and the Hall of Fame's selection committee, where a winner will be selected. Fans can vote for Puisis at
