TAMPA, Fla. (Mar. 11, 2023) – The No. 64 South Florida men's tennis won both of their matches 4-0 (Pacific) and 4-3 (UNCW) on Saturday in Tampa, Fla.

Pacific
The morning match began with South Florida claiming the doubles point.
 
Davide Tortota and Bruno Oliveira won their court 6-3.
 
With Erik Grevelius and Alvin Tudorica defeated on court two, court three would the decide the doubles point.
 
Thomas Pavlekovich-Smith and Tom Pisane would stay neck-and-neck with Pacific leading to a tiebreaker.
 
The duo would eventually top Tiago Silva and Ryan Hillenbrand, 7-6 (7-3) giving South Florida an advantage entering singles.
 
Elijah Cham on court five cruised to an easy win, 6-0, 6-1. The remaining two wins needed to clinch the necessary four points would come soon after.
 
Pisane on court six would follow suit and win his match in position six - his third single's win of the season.
 
Tudorica on court three would complete the campaign for Bulls, winning his court 6-2 in both sets.

UNCW
The second round of matches began at 2:30 p.m., this time the Bulls were facing the 4-4 UNC-Wilmington Seahawks.
 
UNCW would get the upper hand in doubles, with a 6-2 win on court three against Pavlekovich-Smith and Pisane. Eventually, Tudorica and Grevelius on court two would win by the same score to equalize the standings between the two squads.
 
It was Tortora and Oliveira who were challenged until the very end, sealing the deal in doubles. They won their court by way of a 7-6 (7-1) tiebreaker.
 
Tortora would carry his momentum from doubles into singles and another on the board for the Bulls. He defeated Reece Falck 7-5, 6-0.
 
Soon after, the Seahawks would push back against USF. Harold Huens on court two defeated Grevelius, giving his team the first point of the day.
 
Two of the next three courts went in favor to the Seahawks. Elijah Cham on court five would lose his match in a second set tiebreaker, 7-6 (7-4). Pisane would drop his after being defeated by David Innocenti in his second and third set.
 
Ultimately, the evening would come down to Oliveira on court four. After winning his first-set tiebreaker, 7-6(7-3), he would struggle to repeat the outcome in the second set. However, with the doubleheader sweep on the line, he would breakthrough and claim the fourth point for South Florida.
