DALLAS, TEXAS, March 6, 2023 – The USF women's golf team will take on a 15-team field Monday and Tuesday at the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas, Texas.

The tournament will be played at Trinity Forest Golf Club (Par-72, 6,464Yards). USF will compete against 15 teams in the field with teams from No. 31 SMU, No. 35 Kent State, No. 42 Tulsa, No. 43 Houston, Incarnate Word, Texas State, Fresno State, Southern Mississippi, UAB, DBU, UTSA, Cal Poly, Tulane and Seattle. Â

Melanie Green leads the Bulls and enters the competition as one of 11 golfers ranked in the top 100 in the field. She enters at No. 76 after posting her fifth top 10 finish of the season in her last outing.Â

The Bulls last competed at The Show at Spanish Trail Country Club in Las Vegas, Nev. USF finished ninth in the 15-team field.

Melanie Green shot a final round 69 to finish tied for fifth and lead the team with her fifth top 10 finish of the 2022-23 season. USF fired its best round of the tournament on Tuesday with a closing 291 to post a 21-over par total of 885. No. 6-ranked Mississippi State won the tournament firing a 9-under par total of 855 followed closely by No. 30 Pepperdine (-7, 857). USF bettered two teams ranked in the top 50 as the Bulls finished ahead of No. 47 Purdue (+25, 889) in 10
th and No. 26 Kent State (+26, 890) in 11
th place.

About USF Women's Golf
The Bulls are in their sixth season under head coach Erika Brennan in 2022-23. USF is among the fastest rising programs in the country, as they climbed 75 spots in the national Golfstat rankings following Brennan's first season in 2018-19 and have captured three tournament titles under Brennan, while setting numerous program scoring records under her leadership. Junior standout Melanie Green has been an all-conference performer in each of her first two seasons, reached the 2022 NCAA Regionals as an individual and competed in both the U.S. Women's Open and U.S. Women's Amateur championships.
