Tampa, Fla. (April 1, 2023) – No. 64 USF Women's Tennis was on the wrong end of a 4-1 score in their match against No. 36 Florida International. The Bulls had been riding a seven-match winning streak prior to the loss to the Panthers.

In doubles, the Bulls split the first two matches but dropped the last one, giving the Panthers the first point.

On court two, Laura Pellicer and Ireland Simme were beaten 6-2 as the Panthers opened with a win.

On court three, Marta Falceto Font and Nadja Bay Christians gave the Bulls a 6-3 win to even the score. They have now won three straight doubles matches together. 

On court one, Sierra Berry, and Grace Schumacher  dropped a hard-fought match 7-5 giving the Panthers the point. The duo saw their doubles record fall to 6-3 on the season. 

In singles play, Cliona Walsh put a point on the board for the Bulls in the first match. The Panthers took the next three matches to secure the win.

Two singles matches went unfinished, two-time AAC Player of the Week Sierra Berry spilt the first two sets and was tied 4-4 in the third when the match ended. Marta Falceto Font was tied at a sent apiece and had not started her third set.

The loss dropped the Bulls to 11-6 on the season.
