WAREHAM, Mass. (June 17, 2023) – University of South Florida's rising junior Bobby Boser has been named a 2023 Cape Cod League All-Star, the league announced on Sunday. Boser is playing this summer for the Wareham Gatemen of the prestigious Cape League's Western Division.

The Cape Cod League, currently in its 100th season, is annually the home to college baseball's top stars and is dubbed "Where the stars of tomorrow shine tonight."

Boser, a 2023 American Athletic Conference First Team honoree, received high praise from his Wareham manager Ryan Smyth over the weekend as, "the ultimate baseball player." The super utility player has played every position for Wareham this summer except pitcher, catcher and first base.

Boser had a career year as a sophomore for South Florida in 2023 at the plate while primarily playing shortstop and center field. Boser batted .323 with a .445 OBP and slugged .621. His 15 home runs led the Bulls and tied for ninth all-time in program single-season history. He tallied 25 total extra-base hits and 41 RBI while going 8-for-9 in stolen base attempts.
