Track and Field Announces 2025 Schedule

USF will host two home meets

October 21, 2024

TAMPA Fla., (October 21, 2024) — The South Florida track and field team has announced its 2025 indoor and outdoor schedule. The indoor season will feature five meets over four weekends, culminating in the American Athletic Conference (AAC) and NCAA Championships. The outdoor season will see the Bulls compete in nine different meets across eight weekends before concluding with the Conference Championships and NCAA postseason events.

USF's outdoor schedule is highlighted by the program's two home meets. The Bulls will first host the USF Alumni Invitational on March 21-22, welcoming teams from across the country to Tampa. Then, on April 11-12, USF will host the South Florida Invitational. Both events will feature full-team participation from the Bulls, and fans will have the chance to see some of the best collegiate athletes in action.

The indoor season will kick off on January 17, 2025, when the Bulls head to Gainesville for the Jimmy Carnes Invitational. Following that, the team will travel to Louisville, Ky., for the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational on January 31-February 1. Next, athletes will be divided to compete in the Harvard Crimson Elite and Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational in Massachusetts on February 7-8, while other athletes will be divided to compete in the Celebration Pointe Classic on February 7, creating a split-squad weekend for the team.

The Bulls will then travel to prepare for the Windy City Invitational in Chicago on February 14-15. The AAC Indoor Championships will take place on February 28-March 1, in Birmingham, Ala., and qualified athletes will go on to compete in the NCAA Indoor National Championships on March 14-15.

The Bulls will stay close to home to begin the outdoor season, starting with the Tampa Classic on February 22, followed by the Tampa Distance Classic on March 7. Both meets will focus on distance events. The full team will then come together for the USF Alumni Invitational at home on March 21-22. Shortly after, the Bulls will then compete in the Raleigh Relays on March 27-29. Later in the season, USF will participate in major meets like the Pepsi Florida Relays (April 4-5), the Mt. SAC Relays (April 17-19), Tom Jones Memorial (April 18-19), the Penn Relays (April 24-26), and the UNF East Coast Relays (April 25-26). The outdoor season will conclude with the AAC Outdoor Championships, scheduled for May 16-18. Qualified athletes will move on to the NCAA East Preliminary Round, which will compete from May 28-31, with the season's pinnacle event, the NCAA Outdoor National Championships, taking place in Eugene, Ore., from June 11-14.

Fans are encouraged to attend the home meets to support the Bulls as they compete against top-tier competition throughout the season.
