TAMPA (February 23, 2024) – The No. 55-ranked University of South Florida men's tennis team returns home for a doubleheader on Saturday, February 24. South Florida hosts No. 66 Santa Clara at 10 a.m. and Troy at 2:30 p.m. The matches will conclude a five-match homestand for the Bulls.
USF jumped into the ITA Team Rankings earlier this week while Alvin Tudorica checked in at No. 36 in singles play and the doubles team of Tudorica and Erik Grevelius sits at No. 40 in the country.
The Bulls enter the weekend with a 5-4 team record. Santa Clara stands at 5-2 and Troy enters at 8-2.
Tudorica is 8-1 in singles play while Grevelius and Elijah Cham are 5-2 on their courts. The duo of Turodica and Grevelius are 5-3 at Doubles No. 1 while Ben Hudson and Bruno Oliveira are 4-0 as a team.
The Bulls have won two of their last three matches with wins against Georgia Southern and FGCU. USF was bested on the final court by Memphis last weekend, 4-3, and the next match was postponed due to rain against FAU.
Following this weekend's twinbill, the Bulls travel to UCF on Friday, March 1 before returning home for back-to-back matches on March 6-7 against Penn State and Middle Tennessee, respectively.

Head coach Ashley Fisher is in his eighth year at the helm of the program for the 2023-24 season. Fischer has guided the Bulls to four NCAA Tournaments, including three trips to the second round. He was named the American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2017 & 2019 after leading USF to the conference title in each of those seasons.
