Tampa, Fla. – Aug. 15, 2024 – The University of South Florida men's soccer duo of Jalen Anderson and Pedro Faife have been named to the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Preseason All-Conference Squad, as announced by the league office on Thursday. For the second year in a row, the squad checked in at fourth on the Preseason Coaches Poll.
 
The Green and Gold have now been picked fourth or higher in the preseason poll in 10 of the last 11 years since the inception of The American.
 
Anderson, who was the Bull's leading scorer last season, tallied seven goals and two assists for a total of 16 points in 2023. The Hamden, Conn. native scored three game-winning goals against Indiana (Sept. 8), Elon (Sept. 17), and Stetson (Oct. 17). Jalen also earned 2023 AAC First-Team All-Conference, and 2023 CSC Academic All-District honors.
 
Faife, who was named to the 2023 AAC All-Rookie team, recorded a pair of goals and a single assist last season.
 
The Bulls will kick off the regular season with a three-match homestand against Seattle (Aug. 22), Mercer (Aug. 25), and Eckerd College (Aug. 29).

USF Men's Soccer competed in the school's first-ever intercollegiate athletic contest on Sept. 25, 1965, beating Florida Southern 4-3.
