Richardson scores as Bulls keep pace, Missouri State holds on for 3-1 win
Tampa, Fla., Oct. 17, 2025 — South Florida (7-1-5, 3-1-1) fell 3-1 to Missouri State (4-5-2, 2-3-0) at Corbett Soccer Stadium on Friday night.
The Bulls responded quickly to an early goal from Missouri State, with Tyler Richardson converting a penalty kick in the 22nd minute to even the score. Jahiem Wickham made a key save in the 37th minute to keep the match level. The first half ended knotted at 1-1.
The second half began with another strong save from Wickham to maintain the tie. Richardson and Dominic Wilson were aggressive offensively, each taking early shots on goal. South Florida continued to press forward, earning multiple corner kicks and testing Missouri State's defense.
Missouri State took the lead in the 69th minute, which they later extended to 3-1. Missouri State held the 3-1 lead until full time.
