USF Men’s Soccer Travel to Memphis for Final Conference Matchup

USF aims to finish the season strong in its final game of the regular season

TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 1, 2025 – The University of South Florida men's soccer team (8-2-5, 4-2-1), coming off a 4-3 loss to FAU, travels to Memphis for a regular-season road matchup as the Bulls look to build on a successful season and finish strong in American Conference play. This conference matchup will take place on Sunday, November 2, at 7:00 p.m. ET. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
 
Setting the Stage
On Senior Night, seniors João Belmudes and Brandon Nyagurungo each scored, and Yanis Lasri recorded an assist as USF showcased an explosive offense in the high-scoring matchup. The Bulls have already clinched a postseason berth and look to carry their momentum into Memphis.
 
The Opponent
Memphis enters Sunday's matchup looking to bounce back after a 0-1 loss to Missouri State. The Tigers are 3-4 in American Conference play and will host the Bulls in Memphis for this conference matchup.

  • Senior Night Highlights – Belmudes and Nyagurungo each scored on Senior Night to cap their regular-season home careers.

Series History
USF and Memphis have faced off 31 times since Oct. 13, 1995, with the Bulls holding a 19-7-5 record. The most recent matchup came on Oct. 18, 2024, when the Bulls defeated the Tigers 1-0 at Corbett Stadium. USF has a 12-3-1 record at home and a 6-3-4 record on the road against Memphis.

ABOUT USF MEN'S SOCCER
USF Men's Soccer competed in the school's first-ever intercollegiate athletic contest on Sept. 25, 1965, beating Florida Southern 4-3. Since then, the oldest program on campus has built a winning tradition, claiming 14 conference championships and making 22 NCAA Tournament appearances, including three trips to the Elite Eight.
 
The program also has a strong reputation within the professional game and boasts 30 MLS draft picks.
