TAMPA, Fla. (November 23, 2025) – The University of South Florida women's basketball team will play its first game in the Baha Mar Pink Flamingo Championship on Monday, November 24, against Minnesota. The Bulls (3-2) and the Golden Gophers (4-1) are scheduled for a 4 p.m. tip on FloSports.
Setting The Stage:
The Bulls are coming off a dominant 85-72 victory against the Duke Blue Devils. Minnesota is coming off a 63-57 loss to Kansas.
Series History:
The Bulls and the Gophers will meet for the fourth time on Monday. Minnesota leads the overall series 2-1, but South Florida won the last meeting 60-52 in 2011 at the WBI Tip-Off Tournament. The Bulls are 1-0 against the Gophers at neutral sites.
Note-A-Bulls:
L'or Mputu has at least one offensive rebound and one made field goal in 30 straight games, tied for the fifth-longest active streak among all Division I players. The only USF player with a longer streak this century was Courtney Williams, who had a 37-game run (2013-14--2014-15).
L'or Mputu is one of seven DI players since the beginning of last season to have at least 1,000 minutes played, eight rebounds per game, and a 58.0 field-goal percentage.
With one more steal,
Carla Brito will be the third USF player this century to have at least 100 steals, 650 rebounds, 150 assists, and 850 points in her USF career. The other two are Courtney Williams (2012-16) and Jessica Dickson (2003-07).
Stefanie Ingram is tied for 10th in the NCAA with 6.8 assists per game. She is tied for 12th in the country with 34 assists. She leads the American Conference in both categories.
