TAMPA, Fla., September 20, 2025 – The University of South Florida men's soccer team (3-0-4, 1-0-0), coming off a 1–0 shutout of UAB in its conference opener, heads to Tulsa to take on the Golden Hurricane (1-4-2, 0-1-0) on Sunday, September 21, at 8:00 p.m. ET. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Setting the Stage
The Bulls secured their first conference win of the season last week, defeating UAB behind a second-half strike from
Pedro Faife and another standout performance from goalkeeper
Jahiem Wickham, who posted his second clean sheet of the year. The Bulls remain unbeaten through seven matches in 2025, with a strong balance of timely goals and disciplined defending. South Florida will also be looking to capture the program's 600th win as they build on their strong start to the season.
After opening conference play with a win at home, USF now faces its first conference road challenge. Staying disciplined away from Corbett Stadium will be key to extending the unbeaten streak.
The Opponent
Tulsa enters Sunday's match looking to rebound after a 3–1 setback in its most recent match. The Golden Hurricane also fell 2–1 to Charlotte in their first conference match of this season.
Note-A-Bulls:
- Steady Hands – Wickham recorded four saves in the shutout, giving him 26 stops through seven matches, ranking first in the American and 28th in the NCAA.
- Shared Production – Nine different Bulls have registered at least one point this season, with Fabio Bozesan leading the way (three goals, three assists).
- Road Ready – USF has allowed one goal or fewer in six of seven matches, a trend they will look to continue.
Series History
USF and Tulsa have met 18 times since 1999, with the Bulls holding a 10-6-2 advantage all-time. The Bulls are 4-2 on the road in Tulsa and carry an 8-5 record in conference play against the Golden Hurricane. The most recent meeting came on October 26, 2024, when Tulsa earned a 2-1 win in Tampa.
