Wickham Named American Goalkeeper of the Week; Belmudes Earns Honorable Mention

For the third straight week to start the season, the Bulls earn an American Conference Player of the Week spot, along with honorable mention.

TAMPA, Fla., September 8, 2025 – The American Conference announced its weekly men's soccer awards on Monday, with South Florida's Jahiem Wickham earning Goalkeeper of the Week and João Belmudes picking up an honorable mention.
 
Wickham delivered a standout performance in the Bulls' 1–1 draw at UCF on Thursday with eight saves, as well as in their 1-1 draw at Mercer, both of which preserved the Bulls' undefeated record on the season.
 
Belmudes, also drew conference recognition after contributing an assist vs. UCF and a goal at Mercer.
 
The Bulls have had a player of the week and an honorable mention in each of the first three American Conference weekly award ballots.

USF Men's Soccer competed in the school's first-ever intercollegiate athletic contest on Sept. 25, 1965, beating Florida Southern 4-3. Since then, the oldest program on campus has built a winning tradition, claiming 14 conference championships and making 22 NCAA Tournament appearances, including three trips to the Elite Eight.
 
The program also has a strong reputation within the professional game and boasts 30 MLS draft picks.
