TAMPA, Fla. (January 26, 2026) – The University of South Florida women's basketball team returns to the Yuengling Center for an American Conference matchup with Charlotte on Tuesday. The Bulls (12-9, 5-3 American) and the 49ers (9-11, 3-4 American) will tip at 7 p.m. on ESPN+ and Bulls Unlimited.

Setting The Stage:
The Bulls look to end a two-game skid and improve to 6-3 in conference play. South Florida is currently fourth in the conference standings. Charlotte is coming off a loss to Temple and is tied for seventh in the league.
Series History:
South Florida and Charlotte will meet for the 33rd time on Tuesday. The 49ers lead the series 21-11. The Bulls have won the last two meetings, including a 70-52 victory in Charlotte on Feb. 18, 2025. USF is 8-11 at home against CLT.
Note-A-Bulls:
Stefanie Ingram is one of three American Conference players this season averaging at least 10.0 points and 5.0 assists per game, along with Charlotte's Tanajah Hayes and UTSA's Ereauna Hardaway. The only USF players this century to finish a season with such marks are Elisa Pinzan (2020-21), Shantia Grace (2005-06), and Anerdra Gilmore (2004-05). She is one of seven DI players this season with at least 200 points, 115 assists, and 20 made threes. Ingram is the third USF player this century to reach these totals in her first 21 games of a season, along with Elisa Pinzan (2020-21) and Laia Flores (2017-18). Ingram currently leads the American Conference this season with 118 assists and 686 minutes played. The only USF players this century to finish a season ranked in the top 2 in the conference in both categories are Elisa Pinzan (2021-22) and Laia Flores (2017-18).
Edyn Battle has scored at least 10 points in 12 of her first 14 games with USF. The last USF player to reach double digits in at least 12 of her first 14 career games with the Bulls was Andrea Smith (13) in 2010-11. This season, she has 201 points and 52 assists. She is the only player this century to have at least 200 points and 50 assists in 14 career games at USF.
L'or Mputu is one of five DI players since the start of last season to have at least 1,300 minutes played, 8.0 rebounds per game, and a 57.0 field-goal percentage. She is one of four American Conference players this season with at least 60 offensive rebounds and 80 defensive rebounds. The others are Charlotte's Asianae Nicholson, North Texas' Megan Nestor, and Temple's Saniyah Craig.
Fatou Diakite has recorded at least 10 points and five rebounds off the bench in five games this season. That is the most by any USF player in a season since Courtney Williams in 2013-14 (seven).
Additional Notes:
South Florida scored 29 points in the fourth quarter against Florida Atlantic. It was its second-highest total in any fourth quarter this season, behind 31 on January 10 at Memphis.
USF has had multiple players come off the bench and record at least two steals in four games this season, including against FAU. That is tied for second-most in the American Conference (East Carolina, North Texas), behind Memphis (six).
USF has a 41.1 three-point percentage in conference play this season, the highest in the American and seventh-highest in Division I. The only American Conference team to finish a single conference campaign with a higher mark was UConn in 2019-20 (43.0%) and 2014-15 (41.5%).
USF's active roster has played in a combined 942 games at the Division I level. That is the most among all American Conference teams and the 10th most among all DI teams.
South Florida has had 88.1 percent of its assists this season come from upperclassmen. That is the second-highest share in the American (Wichita State – 99.6) and 40th in DI.
The Bulls have had 10 different players this season with a double-digit scoring game. That is tied for the most in the American (Charlotte) and is more than USF had all last season (eight).
The Bulls have 12 players with at least 10 free-throw attempts this season. That is tied for most in Division I, along with nine other schools. South Florida has shot at least 80.0 percent from the free-throw line in eight games this season. That is the second-most in the American Conference, behind Rice (12).
USF has nine players this season with at least 70 points and 30 rebounds. That is the most in the American Conference and tied for second-most in Division I.
