Setting the Stage
South Florida is coming off a 79-72 loss against first-place Rice on Feb. 17 after earning three straight victories over Tulane, Tulsa, and UTSA.

Edyn Battle led the Bulls with 20 points against Rice, all in the second half, and she was 8-8 from the free throw line. She has made all 20 of her free-throw attempts in USF's five games played in February, which is the most attempts without a miss by any Division I player this month.

Carla Brito recorded her fifth straight double-double against Rice (10 pts, 14 rebs), being one of five Bulls to accomplish this feat since 1999. Tuesday's game against Rice was the third time this month that Carla Brito and L'or Mputu (12 pts, 10 rebs) each recorded a double-double in the same game. That is the most such games by any Division I teammate duo in February.
