USF Women’s Golf Ties for Fourth at the 2026 Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate

Bulls Finish Tied for Fourth at UNF Collegiate

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – February 24, 2026- The University of South Florida women's golf team finished tied for fourth at the UNF Momentum Transportation Collegiate at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club.

Tiphani Knight led the way for USF, finishing tied for 13th overall. Knight delivered consistent play across all three rounds and closed the tournament with her strongest performance. 

Cherry Marley also posted a strong showing, finishing tied for 15th individually. Emma Kim tied for 32nd, Regina Plascencia tied for 34th, and Alice Webb tied for 50th. 

USF received contributions throughout the lineup as the team battled challenging conditions at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club. The balanced effort allowed the Bulls to remain in contention throughout the event and ultimately finish tied for fourth overall.

The Bulls compete next at The Gators Invitational at Mark Bostick Golf Course March 6- 8.

Tampa native AJ Newell, a former LPGA Tour Player and NCAA All-American, enters her second season as head coach of USF women's golf. In her first season, she coached Leonor Medeiros to the American All-Conference Team. Newell coached the Bulls to four top-10 finishes in the 2024-25 season.

Newell took over leadership of the Bulls' program following a successful three-year stint as assistant coach at the University of Michigan, where she helped guide the Wolverines to three straight NCAA Regional appearances, a 2022 Big Ten title, and a trip to the 2022 NCAA Championship Finals.
