GAINESVILLE, Fla. – March 8, 2026- The University of South Florida women's golf team finished tied for seventh at the Gator Invitational.
Tiphani Knight finished +4 overall which tied for 15th place overall. Cherry Marley remained steady, finishing tied for 26th. Emma Kim had a low third round of -1, assisting her finish at T-30. Regina Plascencia and Holly Mclean also helped assisted with the T-7 overall finish.
The tournament featured a strong field of teams from across the country competing throughout the weekend in Gainesville at Mark Bostick Golf Course.
The Bulls compete next at Bell Bank "Pay It Forward" Invitational March 23-24 in Arizona.

Tampa native AJ Newell, a former LPGA Tour Player and NCAA All-American, enters her second season as head coach of USF women's golf. In her first season, she coached Leonor Medeiros to the American All-Conference Team. Newell coached the Bulls to four top-10 finishes in the 2024-25 season.
Newell ook over leadership of the Bulls' program following a successful three-year stint as assistant coach at the University of Michigan, where she helped guide the Wolverines to three straight NCAA Regional appearances, a 2022 Big Ten title, and a trip to the 2022 NCAA Championship Finals.
