USF Softball’s Anne Long No. 24 in Softball America Power Rankings

Anne Long has been outstanding in the circle for the Bulls

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 27, 2026) – Softball America announced its updated position power rankings for the 2026 season. Anne Long, representing the University of South Florida softball team, is ranked No. 24.  
 
Long has been outstanding for the Bulls this season. She has a 16-5 record with three saves. She has pitched 135 1/3 innings, with 87 strikeouts and 10 complete games. She has a 1.71 ERA and holds opponents to a .215 batting average. In conference play, she has an 11-1 record with two saves. She has nine complete games, including two complete-game shutouts.

South Florida hosts North Texas for the final series of the regular season. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, and will be broadcast on ESPN+.

The South Florida softball program has been one of the most successful on campus, making 18 NCAA tournament appearances, including a trip to the Women's College World Series in 2012. Under head coach Ken Eriksen, who enters his 29th season in 2026 and has accumulated 1,171 wins, ranking seventh among active DI head softball coaches, USF has produced 10 NFCA All-Americans, two USA Softball Top 10 Players of the Year, and one NFCA Pitcher of the Year. In 2022, Georgina Corrick became the first player in softball history to earn the NCAA Pitching Triple Crown. She led the nation in ERA (0.51), Victories (37), and total strikeouts (418).
