Pineiro Nabs WPSL Team of the Week Honors

TAMPA - A week after being named to the Women's Premier Soccer League weekly honorable mention, junior Noelle Pineiro of the University of South Florida women's soccer team was named to the WPSL Team of the Week following her performance this past week playing for the Brandon FC Flames.

The Bradenton native tallied two goals and three assists in vital wins over South Florida & previously-undefeated FSA Freedom to put Brandon FC in the hunt for the Sunshine Conference title. Pineiro, the team's leading scorer, has tallied three goals and two assists in six games played.

Pineiro, who is one of six current Bulls on the Brandon FC roster, has led the Flames to a 4-3 record and 12 total points, placing them in second place in the Sunshine Conference.

Brittany Pilon was named to leagues weekly honorable mention.

The WPSL is a 50-plus team national league with five conferences starting in 2010 and is the largest women's soccer league in the world. The league is sanctioned by the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) as an affiliate of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).
