? Greg Auman recaps Dominique Jones career night in his blog. He writes,"Stan Heath doesn't want to lean on guard Dominique Jones as much as his Bulls did Saturday night. All things considered, it's not a bad strategy.
Jones had a career-high 36 points, going 7-of-9 on 3-point attempts, to carry a struggling Bulls team to a 68-55 win against Iona at the Sun Dome.

? Gregg Becnell of the Tampa Tribune writes the Bulls victory last night over Iona. He writes," In the midst of a disappointing start to the University of South Florida men's basketball season, the Bulls made sure they ended the non-conference portion of their schedule on a positive note.
Sophomore guard Dominique Jones, who had been in a horrendous scoring slump, scored a career-high 36 points to lead USF to a 68-55 win against Iona at the Sun Dome on Saturday.
"It felt good out there. I felt like my old self," Jones said. "I'm just trying to get my confidence back, because I know my team needs me."
? Kerry Klecic of the USF Oracle breaks down USF win last night in his blog. He writes,"At times, it seemed more like Devon Clarke vs. Dominique Jones, rather than Iona vs. South Florida on Saturday night. If that's the case, Jones certainly took the cake in this battle.
Jones scored a career high 36 points, leading USF to a 68-55 win over the Iona Gaels on at the Sun Dome.
Jones, a sophomore, was 12-of-16 from the field, seven-of-nine from three point range and five-of-six from the stripe."

? Greg Auman previews tonight's matchup with Iona. He writes,"The Bulls get their final tuneup before opening Big East play Friday at home against Syracuse. Iona's depth should challenge USF. The Gaels have no player averaging more than 25 minutes a game, but 11 average 14.9 or more. Similarly, they have one double-digit scorer, 6-foot-9 F/C Gary Springer (12.7 points per game, 6.0 rebounds), but eight other players average 5.5 points or more. USF has four players averaging at least 31 minutes, with much of the scoring burden on Gs Jesus Verdejo (16.5 ppg) and Dominique Jones (15.4). The Bulls will be without G Mike Mercer, who injured his right knee Sunday against Wright State and did not play Monday."
