JACKSONVILLE (Sept. 15, 2014)—The 12th-ranked duo of Roberto Cid and Sasha Gozun were crowned the doubles champions at the 2014 Bedford Cup Monday afternoon.

After taking a commanding 5-2 lead in the first set over UNF's Jack Findel-Hawkins and Lasse Muscheites, the match was suspended for two hours as rain entered the area. The rain did little to affect the Bulls players as they won their first set 6-2 and the second, 6-3 to claim the crown.

Earlier in the day, Cid competed in the Navy Flight singles draw championship, going up against Findel-Hawkins. After dropping the first set, Cid battled back to force a third set. His comeback fell just short as Findel-Hawkins took the third set and the 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 win.

The Bulls next stop is the ITA All-American Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla. on Sept. 27.
