PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FLA., March 31, 2015 – Fifteen birdies from six Bulls helped vault the USF women's golf team into the top nine on the final day of the Web.com Intercollegiate.
USF posted its best score of the tournament Tuesday, shooting 295 (+7) as a team at the 5,967-yard, par-72 Marsh Landing Country Club to vault three teams en route to an 894 (+30) ninth place finish in a tough field of 17.
After two impressive rounds Monday, sophomore Ashley Burke supplied more of the same Tuesday, bogeying just one hole and grabbing a 72 (E) to secure a three-round score of 213 (-3). Burke finished in a tie for fifth individually, just three strokes out of second place.
Senior Erin Selfridge went birdie-happy Tuesday, collecting a team-high five, including four over a span of five holes to shoot 73 (+1), finishing at 224 (+8) and in a tie for 40th.
Redshirt freshman Maria Rodriguez knocked out three birdies to shoot 75 (+3), tying sophomore Nicole Autrique for USF's final counting scores.
Miami won the tournament, using a 206 (-10) effort from individual champion Delfina Acosta to shoot 851 (-13) as a team. For full results, click HERE.
