CORAL GABLES, FLA., March 4, 2015 - After a strong three-day performance by junior Michelle Reyes, the University of South Florida women's golf team wrapped up the Hurricane Invitational in eighth place at the par-71, 6070-yard Biltmore Golf Course.
Reyes shot three birdies Wednesday, leading the team on the final day to their overall score of 889 (+37), just three strokes behind East Carolina for seventh place. Northwestern clinched the win, finishing with an 859 (+7) over the 16-team field.
After shooting two under par on the front nine, Reyes ended the day with a team-low 71 (E). Maria Rodriguez finished with a pair of birdies, tallying a 77 (+6) and shooting 222 (+9) overall to tie for 33rd individually.
Tying for 18th overall, Ashley Burke shot 219 (+6), including 78 (+7) in the final round with a birdie on the par-5 18th hole. Erin Selfridge and Nicole Autrique each registered a 79 (+8), rounding out the day.
The Bulls return to action on Friday in Mesa, Arizona for the Clover Cup hosted by Notre Dame.
