TAMPA, JULY 23, 2015Mark Kingston got the most out of the Bulls in his first season as head coach of the program in 2015.

USF racked up 31 wins and booked the school's first trip to the NCAA tournament since 2002. The Bulls made the program's 11th NCAA tournament appearance overall and started their Gainesville Regional run with a 5-3 victory over FAU.

“We didn't look like the moment was too big for us. The guys we're really excited to play, but they stayed loose and stayed focused,” Kingston said.

Prior to the NCAA Selection Show, USF put together an impressive resume that included wins over No. 17 Cal State Fullerton and No. 18 Illinois, and a 22-7-1 record at home. Following the thrilling season, USF had four players selected in the MLB Draft, starting with ace right-hander Jimmy Herget going to the Cincinnati Reds in the sixth round. The Bulls' other draft picks included closer Tommy Peterson (12th round, Washington), shortstop Kyle Teaf (30th round, Tampa Bay) and right-hander Casey Mulholland (37th round, L.A. Dodgers).

The future continues to look bright for the Bulls with the way coaches have been reeling in top talent. USF's 2015 recruiting class is currently No. 6 in the nation in the latest Perfect Game rankings. Check out the rankings HERE.
