TAMPA, JULY 21, 2015 – USF men's tennis continued to make huge strides on the court during the 2014-15 season.

The Bulls captured their second consecutive American Athletic Conference title and made program history by reaching the NCAA Sweet 16 for the first time. USF was rewarded for its efforts with a No. 16 ranking in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll of the season.

USF's red-hot spring season included memorable performances in tournament settings. The Bulls dropped just two points in six matches of title victories at the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic and the USF Spring Break Tournament. USF surrendered just one point in three matches at the conference tournament and hoisted the trophy after defeating host Tulsa, 4-0, in the finals.

USF headed to Blacksburg, Va., to begin its national title pursuit and kept charging ahead in the first two rounds of the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championship. The Bulls started with a shutout of Boise State and posted another 4-0 win over host Virginia Tech, which was ranked No. 15 in the country at the time.

USF's incredible season ended at the final site of the NCAA Championship, but the Bulls didn't go down without a fight. USF took the first doubles match from host Baylor before falling, 4-1, in the Sweet 16. Senior Oliver Pramming and freshman Justin Roberts continued to represent USF well in Waco by reaching the NCAA Doubles Round of 16.

“It was really pleasing to see the program progressing in a healthy, forward direction,” head coach Matt Hill said. “To sit back and think of where we were three years ago when this all started to where it is now, it's exciting and easy to get hyped up about where we're going.”
