TAMPA (Feb. 12, 2016) – The USF women's tennis team will look to capture their second win of the season on Saturday Feb. 13, as they travel to Champaign, Ill. to square off against No. 53 Illinois at 7 p.m. at the Atkins Tennis Center.

The Bulls (1-3) are coming into the match Saturday eager for a win after falling to No. 4 USC, 6-1, on Feb. 6. The match against the Trojans was the Bulls second match against a top five team this season.

Match Points

• The match against No. 53 Illinois will be the Bulls third ranked opponent of the 2015-16 season. The previous ranked opponents were No. 2 Florida and No. 4 USC. The Bulls are 0-2 in those matches.
• USF continues its road trip Saturday against No. 53 Illinois, as the match will be the second straight match on the road. After Saturday, the Bulls will have two more matches on the road to conclude the month of February.
• Bulls' freshman Vanja Klaric (Serbia) secured the lone point for USF in the loss to No. 4 USC. The win moved Klaric to 2-0 on the season in singles play.
• USF also received a strong performance from freshmen Ana Roman Dominguez (Spain) against No. 4 USC. Dominguez pushed her opponent to the only three set match of the day, but eventually fell, 6-4, 4-6, 0-6.

Scouting the Opponent: No. 53 Illinois

The Fighting Illini (3-3) come into Saturday's match against the Bulls on a three match losing streak, all three to ranked opponents. In their most recent match, Illinois fell 7-0 to No. 22 Kentucky.

The Fighting Illini boast a 166-81 all-time home record at the Atkins Tennis Center. Illinois is 2-1 at home this season.

USF is 7-2 all-time against Illinois. In the most recent matchup, the Fighting Illini outlasted the Bulls as they took a 4-3 victory at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.
