CORAL GABLES (November 1, 2022) – Junior Alizee Vidal (Le Gosier, France) carded three rounds under par at the Hurricane Invitational to tie for second place individually and help lead the University of South Florida women's golf team to a third-place team finish.
 
South Florida concluded its fall slate with three consecutive third-place team finishes.
 
No. 15 SMU won the two-day outing which concluded on Tuesday with a team score of 848 (-16). Host Miami placed second at 852 (-12) just ahead of USF at 853 (-11).
 
The Bulls have collectively carded eight team rounds of par or better over five fall tournaments (15 rounds) which is a new program record. The eight team rounds of par or better breaks the mark of seven set last year over the entire course of the 2021-22 season.
 
"Incredible team effort this week to end the fall season on a high note and create momentum for the spring," said head coach Erika Brennan. "This team is capable of great things and it's awesome to witness how much they pull for one another on the course."
 
Vidal fired rounds of 69 (-3) and 71 (-1) on Monday, and capped play on Tuesday with a 70 (-2) to finish with a season-low score of 210 (-6). She finished just one stroke off the individual lead at the event. Vidal's 14 total birdies over 54 holes were the second-most in the 71-player field.
 
Melanie Green (Medina, N.Y.) carded her third top-10 finish over four fall outings. The junior tied for eighth place with a final score of 213 (-3). Teammate Lauren Heinlein (Ocala) also posted a 54-hole total of 213 – her lowest score this season.
 
Sophomores Juliana Camargo (Bogota, Colombia) and Leonor Medeiros (Palmela, Portugal) rounding out the team scoring with three-round totals of 219 and 227, respectively.
 
Freshman Emma Kim (Ulsan, South Korea) competed as an individual at the tournament and finished with a score of 225.
