Murfreesboro, Tenn. (Feb. 3, 2023) – The USF men's tennis team fell to the No. 21 MTSU Blue Raiders Friday night in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
In doubles,
Davide Tortora and
Erik Grevelius were able to capture court one against No. 26 Oskar Brostrom Poulsen and Francisco Rocha. However, it was not enough to claim the point.
MTSU was able to put away the match early, winning the necessary four points to win the match.
With the match already decided, the Bulls played on. No. 67
Alvin Tudorica showed flashes of command. Tudorica started off shaky against No. 60 Brostrom Poulsen but was able to show pushback in the second set. Unfortunately, his efforts were not enough to win his court.
In singles,
Elijah Cham had nearly the same story line against Marcel Kamrowski. After dropping the first set 4-6 he would play even harder in the second set. Ultimately, he would fall in a tiebreaker match, 7-6 (7-4).
