South Florida Women’s Golf Announces 2023-24 Schedule

The Bulls will play four events in the Fall and five in the Spring heading into postseason play.

Tampa, Fla. August 15, 2023Coming off a record-breaking season, highlighted by the first NCAA Regional appearance in 11 years, the University of South Florida Women's Golf team has unveiled its 2023-24 schedule. The Bulls are led by head coach Erika Brennan, entering her sixth full season.

South Florida will compete in four total tournaments during the fall portion of the schedule. The Bulls return to action in the spring at the FAU Paradise Invitational in Boca Raton on February 5-6.

USF's spring slate consists of five tournaments before the Bulls host the AAC Championship at the Southern Hills Plantation Club in Brooksville on April 15-17. NCAA Regional play is scheduled for May 8-10 as the Bulls look to make their second consecutive appearance. The NCAA Championship takes place May 17-22 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.  

Leading the charge for the Bulls is returning senior Melanie Green (Medina, N.Y.), who ranked No. 12 in the country in scoring average (71.03) and was the 39th-ranked player in the country overall according to Golfstat in 2022-23. Green, a 2023 WGCA All-American Honorable Mention, earned her third American Athletic All-Conference honor last year and made her second-consecutive NCAA appearance after qualifying for the NCAA Regional as an individual in 2022 and finishing tied for 27th.

Also returning from last year's record-breaking squad are senior Alizee Vidal, juniors Juliana Camargo and Leonor Medeiros, along with sophomore Emma Kim.

The 2023-24 campaign will be the Bulls' sixth full season under head coach Erika Brennan. South Florida is among the fastest-rising programs in the country, as they climbed 75 spots in the national Golfstat rankings following Brennan's first season in 2018-19 and have captured three tournament titles under Brennan, while setting numerous program scoring records under her leadership. Senior standout Melanie Green has been an all-conference performer in each of her first three seasons, qualified for the 2022 NCAA Regional as an individual and was named a 2023 All-American Honorable Mention. Green and the Bulls reached the NCAA Regional as a team in 2023, marking the program's first postseason appearance in 11 years.
