Tampa, Fla. – Nov. 6, 2024 – South Florida women's basketball (1-0) hosts Mount St. Mary's (0-0_ on Thursday night in the Yuengling Center. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. and the game will stream live on ESPN+.

USF is looking for its second straight win, while the matchup is the season opener for the visiting Mountaineers.

Fernandez is one of 6 active head coaches who have been a head coach at a single DI institution for 25 seasons or longer. On Thursday, November 14, when South Florida hosts Vanderbilt, the anniversary season will be celebrated. That date marks the exact 25-year anniversary of Fernandez first stepping into his role as head coach at South Florida.
