USF Volleyball Heads Back on the Road for Swing Trip

South Florida will play UAB and Memphis this Friday and Sunday.

TAMPA, November 6, 2025 – The University of South Florida volleyball team will head back on the road for a swing trip through Birmingham, Ala., and Memphis, Tenn., this Friday and Sunday.  The Bulls will play UAB on Friday, before heading to Memphis for a Sunday match against the Tigers.  
 
Setting The Stage:
The Bulls (14-9, 10-2 American) look to get back in the win column after dropping their second conference match to Wichita State on Sunday. UAB (10-14, 3-9 American) and Memphis (10-17, 1-11 American) are currently in the bottom three in conference standings.   
 
The Bulls have already clinched their spot in the American Conference Tournament, being held in the Corral from November 21-23.  
 
Series History:
South Florida leads the all-time series, 39-10, against UAB. The Bulls won both matchups last season, including the first round of the conference tournament. South Florida also leads the all-time series, 58-14, against Memphis.
 
Note-A-Bull:
South Florida's RPI sits at 28 after this weekend's matches. Rice joins the Bulls in the top 50 at 39.
 
Maria Clara Andrade was the lone Bull to earn a conference honor this week with a spot on the Honorable Mention team. On Friday, she led the Bulls with 18 kills, her 15th straight match with double-digit kills. She leads the conference with an average of 4.28 kills per set and 4.87 points per set.
 
Raegan Richardson continues ger dominance behind the service line, leading the team with 33 aces. She averages 0.40 aces per set, which leads the conference.
 
Additional Notes:
South Florida has two players with over 50 blocks this season. Imani Hartfield leads the team with 61, while Arianna Beckham follows with 52. Samiha Foster continues to lead the team with 331 digs. She averages 3.89 digs per set.   
 
American Conference Tournament
South Florida will be the host to the 2025 American Conference Volleyball Tournament, November 21-23, inside the Corral, due to winning the 2024 Regular Season. The top eight teams will make it to the tournament. Tickets for the conference tournament will go on sale on Monday, November 3rd. More information can be found at TheAmerican.org.

About USF Volleyball
Head coach Jolene Shepardson enters her sixth season at the helm of her alma mater in 2025. Named head coach on January 8, 2020, Shepardson led the Bulls to a conference championship and the program's last NCAA tournament appearance as a student-athlete in 2002. South Florida won the 2024 AAC regular-season title, earning Jolene Shepardson her first Coach of the Year Honor. In 2023, the Bulls won the AAC East Division title, made a postseason appearance in the NIVC, won three matches, and advanced to the Fab Four to mark the longest postseason run in program history. South Florida Volleyball has won eight Player of the Year honors, most recently in Maria Clara Andrade in 2024. The Bulls have also had four Setter of the Year honors, most recently in Caroline Dykes in 2024. South Florida has made seven NCAA Tournament appearances and won 13 conference titles since its inception in 1972. The Bulls play in The Corral (1,000), located adjacent to the Yuengling Center on the USF campus in Tampa.
