USF Softball’s Anne Long Recognized as American Conference Pitcher of the Week

IRVING, Texas (April 6, 2026) – The American Conference announced its weekly softball awards on Monday. Anne Long was named the American Conference Pitcher of the Week, representing the University of South Florida softball team. 
 
Long was outstanding in the circle with two complete-game performances. She earned two wins in her two starts, pitching 14.0 innings and recording seven strikeouts. She posted a 1.00 ERA and limited UTSA to a .250 batting average.

In 2022, Georgina Corrick became the first player in softball history to earn the NCAA Pitching Triple Crown. She led the nation in ERA (0.51), Victories (37), and total strikeouts (418).
