OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (Jan. 30, 2007) ? The ESPN.com/USA Softball Preseason Poll was released Tuesday afternoon and it featured the University of South Florida softball team ranked No. 23 in the nation.

The Bulls will also enter the 2007 season with a No. 22 ranking, as the USA Today/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Preseason Top 25 Poll was released on Jan. 24.

The Bulls finished the 2006 season with a record of 50-25 and a No. 25-ranking in the final USA Softball Poll. USF is coming off one of its best seasons to date, earning its first ever Super Regional appearance thanks to posting a perfect 3-0 record en route to the Gainesville Regional Championship. For the third time in history, the program was only a step away from its first ever trip to the Women's College World Series.
