? Greg Auman of the St. Petersburg Times recaps men's basketball's 70-61 loss to No. 20 Villanova. He writes "The Bulls were within two points with 90 seconds to play but missed key

allowing the Wildcats to escape with a 70-61 victory before 4,245 at
the Sun Dome."
? The Times also reviews the second half of Saturday's Sun Dome double header - the Bulls 86-68 loss to Georgetown. "Playing a team it could be battling for an NCAA Tournament berth in

work on his shots. His daily quota: 300 shots..."
"Going back to last season, he had gone 15 straight Big East games
without scoring in double figures; now he's done it three times in the
past four games."

? Brian Landman of the St. Petersburg Times takes a look at football's up and coming series with Florida State. He writes,"Florida State coach Bobby Bowden didn't sound particularly optimistic, or even particularly enthusiastic, about scheduling ever-improving USF as recently as last summer.
"You usually try to find somebody that you've got a chance to win (against) instead of getting your nose bloodied," he said in July.
Although still a relatively upstart football program, USF had proved it could do the latter. Ask Auburn."
? Kevin Smetana of the Times has a nice feature on former Riverview High School and former USF standout Tyrone McKenzie as he prepares for the NFL draft. Smetana writes,"Tyrone Mc?Kenzie remembers the exact moment he realized he had the potential to make it big in football.
It was the summer before his senior year at Riverview High School. He had finally recovered from the broken leg that sidelined him the previous season when he burned three defenders on his way to the end zone during a scrimmage."
? Check out exclusive one-on-one with T-Mac as he took sometime to talk to GoUSFBulls.com about the draft and his preparation at the Under Armour Senior Bowl.

He knows exactly where he's going now, though.
Seabrook, a senior forward on the men's soccer team last fall, was selected in the fourth round of the Major League Soccer draft Jan. 15 by the Colorado Rapids."

Verdejo suffered a concussion in the first half at West Virginia, but the severity of Verdejo's injury was unknown until after the game, USF coach Stan Heath said. Verdejo never asked to leave the game and appeared fine, but passed out in the shower."

? Bob Hertzel, corresponding for the St. Pete Times, recaps the Bulls tough loss to WVU. He writes,"Dominique Jones was almost unstoppable in that half as he scored 23 of his game-high 35 points, one shy of his career high against Iona on Dec. 27.
