ORLANDO, FEB. 28, 2015 – A huge second half and 20-point performances from three different Bulls led the USF women's basketball team to a 99-71 win over UCF on the road Saturday afternoon.

USF (24-5 Overall, 15-2 The American) dropped 56 second-half points, including a 29-5 run to roll past the Knights (9-19, 5-12) in the final regular season road game of the year.

The Bulls out-shot UCF .536-.446, getting a career-high 24 points from freshman Laura Ferreira, along with 28 points from Courtney Williams and 20 more points from Alisia Jenkins. Jenkins added 14 rebounds, collecting her 21st double-double of the season, and 10th double-double in 11 games.

UCF came out strong early, shooting a scathing 60 percent from the field through the first 17 minutes of the first half. The Knights knocked down seven first-half three-pointers to put some pressure on USF out of the gate, but Ferreira's special first half helped keep the Bulls in control at the half.

The reigning American Freshman of the Week took control for USF early, tying her career high of 17 points in just 20 minutes on 6-7 shooting, including three 3-pointers and a big layup late in the half to give the Bulls a 43-41 lead heading into the locker room.

With junior forward Jenkins in foul trouble, freshman Maria Jespersen played extended minutes in the half, adding seven points.

Jenkins wasted little time making up for playing just nine 1st-half minutes, scoring seven quick points to help turn a 49-49 tie into a 57-49 lead. The Bulls kept the pedal down from that point forward, using 18 second-half points from Williams and 17 second-half points from Jenkins to lead by as much as 32 in the 99-71 win.

Williams recorded her 17th 20-point game of the season, moving into 9th place on USF's all-time scoring list with 1,430 career points, and passing Shantia Grace for third place on the single-season scoring list, with 599. Only Jessica Dickson has reached 600 points in a season for USF.

Jenkins moved into third place on the single-season rebounds list, and sits just one rebound away from Mary Klinewski for second place on the career rebounds list.

The Bulls wrap up the regular season Monday, March 2 at 7 p.m. against defending national champion UConn. Reserve your seats at the Sun Dome for Senior Night HERE.
