TAMPA, Fla. – March 25, 2025 – The South Florida women's basketball duo of junior guard Janette Aarnio and sophomore guard Vittoria Blasigh earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors, announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
 
JUNIOR GUARD JANETTE AARNIO SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

• Majoring in Management.
• Started for the first time this season (5th Career Start) at Florida Atlantic (Feb. 15).
• Aarino dished out a career-best seven assists and grabbed four rebounds in the win against Temple (Jan. 4).
• Added a season-high 7 points in the win against Northwestern St. (Dec. 17).
• Aarnio matched a career-best four assists against Mount St. Mary's (Nov. 7).

 
SOPHOMORE GUARD VITTORIA BLASIGH SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

• Majoring in Pre-Business Analytics & Information Systems.
• Led all scorers with 20 points in AACT Championship Game against Rice. (Mar. 12).
• Blasigh led with 19 points in win at Charlotte (Feb. 18).
• Led all scorers with 19 points and 3-5 3FG in win at East Carolina (Jan. 25).
• Had 10 points in win over No. 9/10 Duke (Nov. 21).
• Added 16 points in loss to No. 17/21 TCU (Nov. 30) in Cayman Islands Classic.
• Led all scorers with 19 points and matched a career-best 3 steals in the loss to No. 25/22 Louisville (Nov. 24).
