Greg Auman talks with Bulls head coach Stan Heath about Kansas State transfer Ron Anderson. He writes," USF coach Stan Heath believes he's found a steal in former Kansas State power forward Ron Anderson Jr., who signed with the Bulls on Wednesday and will have two years of eligibility after sitting out the 2009-10 season.

Heath said not to read much into Anderson's scoring -- he averaged 5.2 points a game coming off K-State's bench -- but to look at his size (6-foot-8, 245 pounds) and rebounding. Anderson averaged 5.3 rebounds, and totaled more boards (180) off the bench than anyone in USF's lineup. He finished with 83 offensive rebounds, while none of USF's big men last year totaled more than 43. His shooting percentage of 52.2 percent? Only Alex Rivas Sanchez (53.3) was higher among last year's USF players.

Plenty of Bulls can be found on Phil Steele's Preseason BIG EAST Teams

? Greg Auman takes a look at the some of the Bulls' summer baseball plans, as the Bulls will be playing ball all across the country. He writes,"Add USF sophomore standouts Jonathan Koscso and Stephen Hunt to the Bulls playing summer baseball, as they and reliever Doug Wagner will play for the Woodstock River Bandits of the Valley Baseball League in Virginia.

Koscso and Hunt were two of the Bulls' top bats in 2009, with Koscso batting .355 and leading the team in runs (60) and total bases (110). Hunt batted just .263, lowest among the regular starters, but led the team with eight home runs and 51 RBIs. Wagner pitched in just four games, finishing with an 8.10 ERA.

Those three will join first baseman Todd Brazeal, who will play Valley ball for the Staunton Braves. We've reported that outfielder Ryan Lockwood will play in the Cape Cod League, and can now report that freshman left-hander Trey Dahl, who redshirted the 2009 season, will play for Clermont in the Florida Collegiate Summer League, and freshman right-hander Adrian Puig, another redshirt, will play for the Luray Wranglers in the Valley league."

Greg Auman Reports in his blog, the USF volleyball will be part of the Tampa Twice Invitational, where the Bulls' will bring three national powers in Florida, Minnesota and Washington to the Sun Dome. Auman writes," Tampa will be the capital of the college volleyball world this December as home to the NCAA Final Four, and USF will bring three national powers, including Florida, to campus for the Tampa Twice Tournament, an early-season event at the Sun Dome on Sept. 11-12.

Much as Tampa did with women's basketball and the ESPNU Invitational in 2007-08 to start that season, the event will bring in three possible Final Four teams -- Florida, Minnesota and Washington -- to get a taste of Tampa to motivate them toward a return trip to St. Pete Times Forum at the end of the season.
