• Brett McMurphy comments on a story by Jim Henry of FanHouse in which Henry interviews USF quarterback Matt Grothe. In the story, Grothe believes he has tried to put too much on his shoulders, and as a result the senior is determined this year to take it one play at a time and play the game the way he knows how. Grothe also states that this summer has been the Bulls best summer of workouts since he has been here. "We've been so close, but our goal is to win the Big East. I believed we really had a good chance last year but certain things didn't go our way. But you can't make excuses or worry about last year. We are going to try our best this year.

"We've really been putting in the time this summer to help accomplish that goal."
